Clusters of white daffodils gather across a deep red ground, their layered petals and golden centers creating a strong interplay between light and saturation.
The composition builds through repetition and overlap. Individual blooms remain visible, but the grouping creates a larger sense of density and movement across the surface. Variations in scale, spacing, and directional flow allow the arrangement to feel expansive rather than tightly ordered.
The darker red field anchors the lighter floral forms while intensifying their contrast, giving the piece both warmth and visual weight. Green stems and leaves move throughout the composition, connecting the separate clusters into a continuous rhythm.
The work draws loosely from the visual language of Lunar New Year floral displays and the cultural presence of water fairy flowers (水仙花), where daffodils are associated with renewal, prosperity, and seasonal transition. Rather than illustrating those traditions directly, the piece reflects their atmosphere through color, layering, and abundance.
This composition holds presence well in a space, particularly where stronger color relationships and denser floral arrangements can create warmth and continuity.
