My Values

At Cute Fun Joy Designs, my art reflects more than petals and pigment. It’s shaped by how I move through the world—and how I hope others feel when they enter it.

Here’s what I believe:

✨ Belonging shouldn’t require performance.
Whether you’ve ever code-switched, masked, or adjusted yourself to be understood—you’re welcome here, just as you are. My art holds space for that quiet relief.

🌿 Diversity is beautiful.
I grew up in Hong Kong, a city of contrasts and coexistence, where people from vastly different backgrounds share space with grace. I came to the US integrated amongst international and domestic students. Those experiences taught me early: difference isn’t something to tolerate—it’s something to cherish. When someone speaks with an accent, it means they’re fluent in more than one world. That deserves celebration.

💪 Community is strength.
Before motherhood, I measured worth by achievement. After becoming a parent, I learned that strength often looks like asking for help, showing up for others, and building circles of care. My art carries that softness—deliberate, resilient, and relational.

💖 Joy is not frivolous.
It’s resistance. It’s remembrance. And it’s deeply human. I make art that lifts the spirit without needing to justify itself—because feeling good matters, too.
