This one-of-a-kind version of "Purple Gladioluses" is finished by hand with gold ink, tracing selected edges and details across the blooms and stem.
Set against a bright sky-blue background, the vertical composition gives the flower a strong, upright presence, while the saturated purple and magenta tones keep the piece vivid and celebratory. The gold ink adds a soft reflective shimmer that shifts with the light, bringing extra contrast and dimension without overwhelming the simplified forms.
Gladioluses are often associated with strength, integrity, and resilience. In this piece, the single flowering stalk feels both elegant and steadfast, making it a work that carries visual clarity as well as symbolic weight.
This embellished print is part of my Kintsugi-inspired series, in which select prints were revisited by hand rather than discarded. Because the gold ink was applied individually, this is a unique physical version of Purple Gladioluses and will not be reproduced in exactly the same form.
