Get Rich

"Get Rich" centers on 發 (faat), one of the most recognizable and auspicious tiles in mahjong, commonly associated with prosperity, flourishing, and good fortune.

The solitary tile stands against a deep green field, casting a long shadow across the composition. Its simplicity gives the work a quiet, focused presence, allowing the single symbol to carry the weight of the piece.

Created as part of my Mahjong Well Wishes series, this work uses the familiar visual language of mahjong to give a traditional idea of prosperity a contemporary, minimal form. Rather than suggesting instant abundance, the restrained composition leaves space for ideas of patience, intention, and growth over time.
